SOLD OUT – LIMITED RELEASE: Kenya, Baragwi Farm, Microlot-Peaberry
$13.00 – $20.00
We’ve seen our fair share of coffee bags touting questionable tasting notes (cotton candy? really?), but these outstanding peaberry beans from the Baragwi Farm in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, truly are a rare cup. Fewer than 100 bags of these beans were harvested (hence the designation microlot), and in putting them through the paces here at Mississippi Mud, playing with roast levels and brew methods, we discovered a remarkable flavor profile that includes baked tomato (believe it!), caramel and brown sugar. At the same time, we found that light-roasting these little beans (peaberries are the smallest of all coffee varieties) helps bring forward a tart, rhubarb-like note that perfectly contrasts and compliments the more rounded tones, a winning combo for sure.
All orders for this Mississippi Mud Limited Release Coffee are signed and dated by our Master Roaster, and shipped within eight hours of roasting to ensure maximum freshness and flavor. Available in both 10 ounce and 1 pound bags (see selection options below).
